GLOBE is transforming to ensure a strong future supporting the Victorian LGBTI Community

GLOBE has introduced a series of changes to its core proposition that continue to support the community like their GLOBE Growth program which leverages GLOBE’s relationships with Corporate Australia to transfer knowledge to LGBTI business owners.

GLOBE re-brand

Since 1992, the Gay and Lesbian Organisation of Business and Enterprise (“GLOBE”) has been at the forefront of uniting Victorian and Australian LGBTI peoples and their supporters through social, professional and community programs that create an opportunity for people to build professional relationships in an environment that is safe, inclusive and diverse.

This success can be attributed to GLOBE’s ability to respond to the growing needs of our community. GLOBE continues to offer its staple event, GLOBE Networking, providing members of the community a safe space to network with other likeminded people. However, in addition, GLOBE has introduced a series of changes to its core proposition that continue to support the community like their GLOBE Growth program which leverages GLOBE’s relationships with Corporate Australia to transfer knowledge to LGBTI business owners.

Continuing to evolve in a perpetually changing community landscape, the GLOBE Committee identified the need for a formal evaluation of its brand. A series of consultations with volunteers, organisation members, stakeholders and the community were conducted.

The insights and findings from these informed a brand strategy for the future. As a result, the Gay and Lesbian Organisation of Business and Enterprise is officially launching its rebrand, adopting a new logo in place of the previous brand. The new iconography is largely inspired by the by the diverse Victorian community it represents, with the original globe now moving to the front of the Brand before the GLOBE wording.  This new logo and aims to be a contemporary solution that is direct, distinctive and will modernise the GLOBE brand to better reflect our growing diverse community.

“Our new logo and website reflects the organisation that GLOBE has evolved into throughout its 26 year history. An organisation that remains committed to evolving in an attempt to provide the Victorian LGBTI community a means to make excellent professional and business connections, in a safe and casual setting” said Dan de Rochefort, President of GLOBE.

Converting all the occurrences of GLOBES previous logo and name in print, online and branded materials will be no small task, but changes have already taken place at GLOBES website (globemelbourne.com.au), on Facebook(facebook.com/globemelbourne) and on Twitter (@GLOBEMEL). GLOBE looks forward to introducing the rest of the world to their new brand at the 2018 Community Grants Launch.
